Interval demand, critical loads, operating hours, seasonal variation and future growth determine useful capacity and control strategy.

Grid-connected or islanded

The system may operate alongside the grid, support selected critical loads during outages or serve an isolated network. Each mode has different protection and control requirements.

Hybrid configuration

Solar, storage, conventional generation and grid supply can be combined when each component has a defined operating role.

Fuel, demand charges, outages, maintenance, replacement, financing and battery cycling can all affect lifecycle economics.
