Resource first

Expected generation depends on measured or credible resource data, site conditions, equipment performance and losses. Marketing assumptions are not a substitute for a proper energy yield basis.

Land and site conditions

Access, topography, drainage, geotechnical conditions, shading, biodiversity and competing land uses can materially change project design and cost.

Grid integration

Interconnection capacity, curtailment risk, voltage control, protection and network studies influence how renewable generation can operate.

Storage where it has a job

Battery storage can provide specific services such as resilience, shifting, smoothing or ancillary support. It should be sized to a defined duty rather than added for presentation value.

Procurement and degradation

Equipment quality, warranties, degradation, replacement planning and service support affect long-term output.

Environmental and social context

Lower operational emissions do not remove construction, land, waste, community or end-of-life responsibilities.

Claims need boundaries

Any public statement about emissions or environmental benefit should have a defined baseline and method. Where that evidence is absent, descriptive language is more credible than false precision.
